We are proactively reaching out to customers with property that may be impacted.  First and foremost, we hope you and your family are safe. Effective immediately, here are the steps we are taking to assist those that have been affected:

  • We are providing easily accessible information and service regarding insurance claims, to help you navigate the process.
  • We are offering an array of  payment options to minimize financial impact including repayment plans and forbearances ( temporarily suspending or reducing payments for up to 6 month)
  • We are not assessing any late or NSF fees
  • We are suppressing all credit bureau reporting

Local Assistance

At ditech, our first concern is for your safety and the safety of your family and loved ones. There are a number of resources available to offer assistance for those affected. You can contact the below agencies:

To determine if your property is in the disaster area, if you qualify for assistance, or to register your damage with FEMA, call (800) 621-3362 or go online to www.disasterassistance.gov. Stay up-to-date by going to www.fema.gov or by downloading the FEMA app in your phone’s app marketplace. The Red Cross offers assistance with recovery as well as maintaining lists so you can check on family members in the impacted area. Find out more at www.redcross.org.

Locally, residents can request assistance or offer to volunteer by calling 211.

Important Claims Information

It is important that you first contact your insurance carrier to report damages. We are prepared to assist you once have received funds from your insurance company. Information is available at www.ditech.com/disasterresources. Insurance companies may provide emergency advance payments.

If you have a check that is not designated as Emergency Funds, please call (800) 643-0202 and we will assist you with starting the claims/endorsement process.

Will my homeowners insurance cover the cost of repairs?

You should contact the insurance agent who handles your homeowner’s policy. The insurance company’s claims adjuster can assess your damage and determine if your loss is covered by your policy.

How can I verify that my property is in the disaster area?

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) determines which counties are eligible for federal disaster assistance. You can call FEMA at 1-800-621-3362 for further information and assistance. If your home is in a designated disaster area, you can apply for federal assistance online at www.disasterassistance.gov, or by calling FEMA toll free at 1.800.621.FEMA.

Do you have information regarding my homeowner’s insurance policy?

ditech customers who have registered for account access through ditech.com can find information about their insurance policy online by logging into MyAccount. The information is also available by calling our toll free number at 1.800.643.0202 and following our self-service prompts. If you need to file a claim please contact your insurance carrier directly .
